Tank blasting in the Haughton area
Tank batteries, water tanks, and working steel around Haughton, blasted to spec by a Shreveport based crew and priced from the published sheet. Call (318) 708-2091 or send the form below.
Haughton sits in the middle of Bossier Parish’s producing country. The Haynesville wells east of town run on tank batteries: crude and condensate tanks, produced-water tanks, and the separators and heater-treaters between them, all in steel, all outdoors, all corroding faster than the paperwork admits. Saltwater disposal sites concentrate the worst of it, because produced water eats coatings from both sides.
Caddo Tank Blasting runs lease work out of the metro twenty minutes away. Battery exteriors get blasted and recoated on a per-tank price from the published sheet, usually $2,500 to $6,000 for a standard 500-barrel tank depending on condition and coating system. Interiors on water tanks get lining-grade prep, SP 10 with profile verified, so the lining vendor’s warranty survives contact with the inspector.
Lease logistics are half the job and we plan them: one mobilization covers a whole battery, work sequences around production so tanks come out of service one at a time, and the operator’s pumper signs off before we leave the pad.
Water tanks lie about their condition
Produced-water tanks fail from the inside long before the outside shows it. If a battery’s water tank is past its lining life, blasting and recoating the exterior is painting over a countdown. Interior inspection first, then decide whether the money goes to a lining, an exterior, or both.
Pad country we cover
The work comes from the Highway 80 corridor, Bodcau-side lease roads, east Bossier tank batteries, compressor and SWD sites toward Fillmore, covering ZIP 71037. If your tanks stand near those, the crew has probably already worked within sight of them.

Haughton lease questions
What does it cost to blast and paint a 500-barrel tank?
A standard 500-barrel production tank exterior typically runs $2,500 to $6,000 blasted and coated, driven by coating condition, access, and the system going back on. Batteries price better per tank because one mobilization covers the set. The full rate sheet is on the cost page and the quote matches it.
Can you work around active production?
Yes, that is normal battery work: tanks come out of service one at a time on the pumper’s schedule, hot-work and containment follow the operator’s rules, and the pad keeps producing while we blast. We coordinate with your pumper directly so nobody drives out for nothing.
Do you do tank interiors and linings on lease tanks?
Yes. Interior prep for linings is its own discipline, near-white SP 10 blast, profile measured, dehumidification when the window demands it, and we work to the lining manufacturer’s data sheet so the warranty stands. Interior lining prep runs $6 to $12 per square foot off the published sheet.
How fast can you get to a battery east of Haughton?
Scoping from photos happens same week, and most battery jobs schedule within two to three weeks. A tank with active exterior corrosion is not an emergency the way a leak is, but coating seasons matter: spring and fall windows in Louisiana beat July steel temperatures by a wide margin.
