What does industrial tank sandblasting cost around Shreveport?

Do you come to the site or does the tank come to you?
The crew comes to the tank, always. Batteries, water tanks, plant steel, and fuel ASTs are site work by nature: rig, compressor, abrasive, containment, and coatings all travel, and the tank never leaves service longer than the work itself requires.
What is the difference between SP 6 and SP 10, and which do I need?
They are AMPP surface prep grades. SP 6 commercial blast suits weathering exteriors under standard two-coat systems; SP 10 near-white is what immersion linings and most warranties require inside tanks. Your coating system decides, not preference, and we blast to the written standard with the profile gauge-checked and recorded.
Can you work while my battery keeps producing?
Yes, that is standard practice: tanks rotate out of service one at a time on your pumper’s schedule while the rest of the battery takes production. Hot-work permits and operator site rules lead, and the pad keeps earning while the steel gets saved.
What happens if the old paint has lead in it?
We test suspect coatings before blasting, and lead changes method rather than feasibility: full containment, recovered media, worker protections, and disposal as a documented waste stream, priced as the adder shown on the rate sheet. Blasting lead-era paint without that is illegal and we do not do it.
How do you control blast media and dust?
Ground protection and containment sized to the setting come standard, media gets recovered, bagged, and disposed of in a documented waste stream, and shoreline or neighborhood-adjacent jobs get the enclosed version. What leaves the site is steel dust in a bag, not a mess in a ditch.
How fast does blasted steel rust, and how do you prevent it?
In Louisiana humidity, blasted steel starts flash-rusting the same day, sometimes within hours. Every job primes inside that window or applies a holding primer when another applicator follows, because coating over flash rust fails at the profile no matter how good the paint is.
Do you handle the coating spec or do I need an engineer?
Either works. Operators and utilities with written specs get exactly what the spec says, verified and documented. Owners without one get a system recommendation in writing, matched to the service: sun-rated systems for exteriors, immersion linings for interiors, NSF-listed products for potable water.
